Senior Accountant

• Prepare accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP to ensure transparency and provide insights for strategic decision-making. • Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded accurately and on time to maintain operational efficiency. • Conduct detailed variance analysis, identifying trends and discrepancies, and presenting actionable recommendations to management for improved financial performance. • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including timely invoicing and follow-up for collections, to optimize cash flow and minimize outstanding debts. • Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations to mitigate financial risks. • Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, providing necessary documentation and insights to facilitate a smooth review. • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and enhance financial accuracy and integrity. • Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to streamline financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and enhance data analysis capabilities. • Train and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices in financial reporting. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable for advanced financial acumen. • Experience with financial analysis and reporting, showcasing the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights. • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle, with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in financial reports and statements. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders. • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and time management skills. • Proactive problem-solving skills, with a focus on identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to enhance financial processes. • Must have Costruction experience and preferably MEP construction experience
