• Team Leadership and Supervision: Manage, train, mentor, and evaluate a team of AP specialists or clerks, including workload distribution and performance reviews.
• Invoice and Payment Processing: Oversee the end-to-end AP lifecycle, from invoice receipt to payment execution, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.
• Reconciliation and General Ledger: Ensure the AP sub-ledger is reconciled to the general ledger and vendor statements are reconciled to internal records.
• Compliance and Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (IFRS), and tax regulations (VAT, and UAE CT).
• Vendor Management and Issue Resolution: Act as an escalation point for vendor inquiries and discrepancies, building and maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements within the AP workflow and implement best practices.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare various financial reports and metrics for management review, such as ageing reports, cash flow projections, cost analyses, and cost reporting.
• Month-End and Year-End Close: Ensure month-end and year-end closing activities are accomplished within the available deadlines, including preparing accruals, financial statement schedules and other supporting documentation for audits.
Education: A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance Recently qualified CMA/CA/CPA or working towards.
Experience: 3-5 years of similar experience in a large size organization.
Technical Skills: Proficient in SAP, Oracle, MS Excel is must.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
