Secondary Science Teacher

An exciting opportunity awaits an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry or Biology to join a developing international school in Sharjah from August 2027. The successful candidate will initially teach Middle School Science across Grades 7 9 during the 2027 28 academic year, delivering engaging, practical and intellectually stimulating lessons that encourage students to question, investigate and understand the world around them. You will help establish strong scientific foundations, nurture analytical thinking and inspire students to develop a genuine enthusiasm for scientific discovery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally alongside the school. In the 2028 29 academic year, as the school welcomes its first Grade 11 cohort, the position will transition towards teaching IB Diploma Programme Chemistry or Biology, depending on your specialism. Sharjah can offer a more affordable cost of living than many parts of Dubai, making it an attractive option for teachers seeking a balance between professional opportunity and quality of life The ideal candidate will have: • A relevant degree in Chemistry, Biology or a closely related scientific discipline. • A recognised teaching qualification. • Experience teaching Science at middle or secondary school level, ideally across Grades 7 9. • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to make complex scientific concepts accessible and engaging. • A commitment to practical investigation, enquiry-based learning and the development of scientific literacy. • The ability to plan a challenging, differentiated curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. • Excellent classroom management, communication and collaborative working skills. • The flexibility and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of a growing secondary school programme. • Previous IB Diploma Programme teaching experience in Chemistry or Biology would be highly desirable.
