Rotating Equipment Technician

• Overhaul of rotating equipments such as industrial pumps and compressors. • Service and overhaul compressors within the candidate’s area of experience. • Inspect shafts, bearings, impellers, seals, couplings, and other internal components. • Measure and record clearances, tolerances, and component wear. • Replace mechanical seals, bearings, gaskets, and damaged parts. • Perform shaft alignment using dial indicators or laser alignment equipment. • Read technical drawings and follow manufacturer overhaul procedures. • Troubleshoot vibration, leakage, overheating, and performance problems. • Prepare inspection reports and identify spare parts required for repairs. • Carry out workshop and site maintenance while following safety procedures. • ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification. • Proven practical experience independently overhauling pumps and compressors. • Good knowledge of mechanical seals, bearings, lubrication, and shaft alignment. • Ability to use micrometers, vernier calipers, dial gauges, and other precision tools. • Ability to communicate findings clearly and prepare basic service reports. • Willingness to work at customer sites as required.
