**Relationship Officer** **Location:** Doha, Qatar **Employment Type:** Full\-Time – **2\-Month Contract** **Candidate Eligibility:** Local candidates currently residing in Qatar **About the Role** We are seeking a proactive and client\-focused **Relationship Officer** to manage and support a portfolio of corporate and/or SME clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, supporting business growth, assisting with banking and trade finance requirements, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure efficient delivery of banking services. **Key Responsibilities** * Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of clients and ensure high levels of client satisfaction. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. * Understand clients’ business needs and recommend appropriate banking products and solutions. * Support **trade finance transactions**, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees (BGs), documentary collections, and related documentation. * Coordinate with Trade Finance, Operations, Credit, Risk, Compliance, and other internal teams to facilitate client requests. * Support account opening, onboarding, KYC, and periodic customer reviews. * Monitor client portfolios, outstanding facilities, transactions, and service requirements. * Identify cross\-selling and business development opportunities within the assigned portfolio. * Assist in preparing client proposals, credit requests, facility documentation, and relationship reviews. * Follow up on pending transactions, documentation, approvals, and client requirements. * Ensure compliance with internal policies, KYC/AML requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. * Address client queries and operational issues and coordinate with relevant teams for timely resolution. * Maintain accurate client records, portfolio information, and relationship management reports. * Support portfolio growth, retention, and overall revenue generation. * Prepare regular reports and updates on portfolio performance, client activity, and business opportunities. * Perform other relationship management and banking duties as assigned. **Qualifications and Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in **finance, Banking, Business Administration, Economics**, or a related field. * **2–5 years of experience** in banking, financial services, relationship management, or a related field. * Previous experience managing a **client portfolio** is preferred. * Good understanding of **trade finance products and processes**, including LCs, BGs, and related documentation. * Knowledge of **KYC, AML, credit processes, and banking compliance**. * Understanding of corporate/SME banking products and services. * Experience with banking systems and CRM platforms is preferred. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. * Strong English communication skills: **Arabic language capability is an advantage**. **Skills and Competencies** * Strong client relationship and communication skills. * Excellent **portfolio management and follow\-up** abilities. * Commercial awareness and ability to identify business opportunities. * Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling financial and trade documentation. * Good understanding of banking operations and processes. * Strong coordination and stakeholder\-management skills. * Ability to handle multiple client requirements and meet deadlines. * Problem\-solving and negotiation skills. * Professional and customer\-focused approach. * Ability to work under pressure in a fast\-paced banking environment. **Availability and Eligibility** * Candidates must **currently reside in Qatar**. * **Immediate joiners are preferred.** * The position is offered on a **2\-month contract**. **How to Apply** Interested candidates may apply directly through Indeed by submitting an updated CV. *Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.* Application Question(s): * The position is a short\-term contract, do you agree with that ?
