Join the Labour & Delivery (L&D) Unit at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Jeddah, and develop your maternity nursing career within a specialised maternal and fetal care environment.
The Labour & Delivery Unit provides comprehensive care and support throughout the pre-labour, intrapartum and immediate post-partum periods, caring for women with both normal and high-risk pregnancies from 20 weeks gestation onwards.
The unit comprises:
• 5 Labour Rooms
• 1 Triage and Assessment Room
• 1 dedicated Operating Room for Caesarean Sections
• 1 Recovery Room
• 1 Feto-Maternal Unit
Registered Nurses working within Labour & Delivery gain experience across a wide range of maternity services, including:
• Normal and high-risk pregnancy care
• Cardiotocography (CTG) and fetal monitoring
• Induction and augmentation of labour
• Normal and instrumental deliveries
• Caesarean sections
• Epidural anaesthesia and pain management
• Immediate post-partum care
• Newborn care and resuscitation at delivery
• Management and monitoring of patients with pre-eclampsia and eclampsia
• Multidisciplinary maternal and fetal care
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Labour & Delivery Registered Nurses looking to further develop their expertise in high-risk maternity, intrapartum care, fetal monitoring and obstetric emergencies at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, Jeddah.
Bachelor s Degree in Nursing and Midwifery
Eligible for registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
Minimum of two (2) years of current clinical nursing experience in Labour Ward following licensure/registration in the country of origin
We welcome applications from nurses with at least 18 months of current Labour Ward experience. You can be interviewed while you are working towards the required two years of experience. As the licensing process takes several months, your application, interview and licensing process can progress in parallel while you complete the remaining experience requirement.
