Registered Nurse - Homecare

• Prepare clinical and progress notes and maintain records of patient care, condition, progress, and problems • Coordinate services and act as liaison between treating physician, other personnel and family members regarding changes in client's condition • Counsel clients and family in meeting nursing and related needs • Participate in in-service programs and supervise and teach other nursing personnel • Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormal values to treating physicians • Administer prescribed medications • Monitor intravenous infusions and parenteral therapies • Care for clients with tracheostomy, gastrostomy and colostomy • Provide nursing care to clients with pacemaker, peritoneal dialysis, and clients on ventilator • Deliver nursing care for patients with hemiplegia, paraplegia, Bell's palsy, cerebral palsy, terminally ill, and elderly • Care for newborns, pre- and post-partum mothers • Care for physically challenged clients and those needing special care at home or educational facilities • Deliver simple exercises, assist in ambulation and accompany clients to social gatherings, hospitals and other treatment facilities • Care for wounds to prevent exacerbation of pressure ulcers • Report and record medical events, procedures and other medical parameters • Maintain and report observations to supervisor, case manager, or medical doctor • Bachelor of Science in Nursing froman accredited school of nursing in home country • Active Basic Life Support training • Critical care qualification (preferred) • Pediatric qualification for pediatric RN (preferred) • ACLS for adult patients (preferred) • PALS for pediatric patients (preferred) • Teaching and assessing skills (preferred) • Able to speak Arabic (preferred) • Active Basic Life Support training (essential) • Current valid registration in country of training and/or country of last employment (essential) • Homecare & Clinical Skills, Bedside Manner, Infection Control, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Medical Teamwork, Multi-tasking, Listening, Verbal Communication, Health Promotion and Maintenance • Eligible for DOH / DHA / MOH licensing (essential)
