Radiographer - NMC Royal Women s Hospital Abu Dhabi

• Assess patients and interpret clinical requirements to determine the appropriate radiographic techniques. • Execute a range of radiographic examinations on patients to produce high-quality images. • Observe and maintain contact with patients during their examination and post-examination stay in the department. • Assist in more complex radiological examinations under the supervision of a Radiologist and Chief Radiographer. • Work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team and share specialist knowledge and expertise. • Prioritize, deliver and time-manage workload effectively and assist senior staff to plan control of workflow patterns within the department. • Communicate with patients and others in a clear, respectful and appropriate way. • Position patients safely for examinations and adapt standard techniques depending on medical conditions associated with disability, illness or trauma. • Record imaging identification and patient documentation swiftly and accurately and adhere to protocols ensuring compliance with Data Protection and patient confidentiality. • Acquire new techniques and technologies as required by professional bodies and participate in annual performance appraisal programs. • Supervise assistant practitioners and other staff, and deliver appropriate training. • Valid DOH Radiographer License or eligibility • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Radiologic Technology / Medical Imaging • Relevant clinical experience in diagnostic radiology • Knowledge of radiation protection and patient safety • Good communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to operate digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) systems
