Quantity Surveyor - Construction Department

**Job Knowledge** * Proficiency in preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and cost plans from architectural and structural drawings. * Strong understanding of material pricing, labor rates, and subcontractor quotation analysis.• Familiarity with procurement procedures and vendor negotiations in the construction sector. * Comprehensive understanding of standard construction contract conditions regarding contractual obligations and commercial clauses. * Ability to assist in drafting, administering, and managing subcontracts and main contracts. * Expertise in site measurement, taking\-off quantities, and valuing completed construction work for interim payment applications. * Skill in assessing and pricing project variations, change orders, and site instructions. * Experience in monitoring project expenditures, preparing cash flow forecasts, and conducting cost\-reconciliation statements. * Ability to prepare monthly commercial reports, final accounts, and claim assessments for management review. * Proficiency in specialized takeoff and measurement tools alongside industry\-standard platforms. * Advanced command of **MS Excel** for cost modeling, data tracking, and financial dashboards. * Strong ability to read, interpret, and cross\-reference architectural, structural, and MEP engineering drawings and specifications to derive accurate quantities.
