QS Engineer – Construction

Job Description We are looking for an experienced **QS Engineer (Quantity Surveyor)** with strong knowledge of **construction projects, quantity surveying, cost control, and commercial management** to join our team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate should have hands\-on experience in construction quantity take\-offs, BOQ preparation, variations, subcontractor evaluation, project cost monitoring, and payment certification. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and review **BOQs, quantity take\-offs, cost estimates, and cost plans**. * Measure quantities from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings. * Review drawings, specifications, and project documents to identify scope and quantities. * Prepare and evaluate **subcontractor and supplier quotations**. * Monitor project costs, budgets, and material expenditures. * Prepare and evaluate **variations, change orders, and additional works**. * Prepare interim payment applications and valuations. * Assist with subcontract administration and commercial documentation. * Monitor project progress and compare actual costs against budgets. * Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cost reconciliation statements. * Assist with preparation and settlement of **final accounts and claims**. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers. * Maintain accurate records of quantities, costs, variations, and contractual documentation. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in **Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management**, or a related field. * **3\+ years of experience** in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry. * Strong knowledge of **building construction and construction cost management**. * Good understanding of BOQ preparation, quantity take\-off, measurement, and valuation. * Experience with variations, claims, interim payments, and final accounts. * Ability to read and interpret **architectural, structural, and MEP drawings**. * Good knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and subcontractor pricing. * Strong knowledge of **MS Excel** and quantity surveying/cost management software. * Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.** Important Candidates with a **strong construction background and hands\-on experience in quantity surveying** will be given priority. Experience should preferably include commercial and cost\-related activities on active construction projects. Work Location: In person
