Roles & Responsibilities
• Supervise and monitor mechanical quality control activities at the project site.
• Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect piping, welding, equipment installation, structural components, and mechanical systems.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with QC inspectors, site engineers, contractors, and client representatives.
• Monitor welding activities, material inspections, fit-up, and dimensional checks.
• Verify material certificates, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
• Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Prepare daily inspection reports, quality records, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate with clients and third-party inspectors during inspections and testing.
• Ensure adherence to project quality procedures and site safety requirements.
Required Skills
• Mechanical Quality Control and Inspection.
• Piping, Welding, and Mechanical Equipment Inspection.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, and applicable project quality standards.
• Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Material Inspection and Material Test Certificates (MTCs).
• Welding Inspection, WPS, PQR, and Welder Qualification Records.
• Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Corrective Action Management.
• Quality Documentation and Inspection Reporting.
• Mechanical Drawings, Isometric Drawings, and P&IDs.
• Hydrotesting and Pressure Testing Procedures.
• QA/QC Procedures and Quality Audits.
• MS Office and Technical Report Preparation.
• Team Supervision and Coordination.
• Communication, Problem-Solving, and Attention to Detail.
Preferred Experience: Mechanical QA/QC experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, or industrial projects, preferably in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
