QAQC Site Engineer

The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Engineer to support the successful delivery of substation and power infrastructure projects across the UAE. This is a site-based role focused on ensuring compliance with quality standards, project specifications, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines throughout project execution. The successful candidate will play a key role in quality inspections, audits, reporting, non-conformance management, and quality assurance activities for both brownfield and greenfield substation projects. The role reports directly to the Quality Manager and requires strong stakeholder management, technical reporting, and quality systems expertise. What You'll Be Doing • Implement and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) requirements across project sites. • Prepare, review, and manage Requests for Inspection (RFI), Method Statements, Inspection Test Plans (ITP), and Job Method Statements (JMS). • Conduct site inspections and quality audits to ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements. • Monitor construction and installation activities to verify adherence to approved procedures and quality standards. • Identify, investigate, and resolve non-conformance reports (NCRs) and quality-related issues. • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions. • Prepare detailed quality reports, inspection records, and compliance documentation. • Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives during inspections and audits. • Support project quality objectives across both brownfield and greenfield projects. • Participate in internal and external audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives. • Develop quality plans and inspection strategies to support project execution. • Ensure documentation and quality records are maintained in line with project and client requirements. What You'll Need • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. • Proven experience in QA/QC roles within substation, transmission, distribution, or power infrastructure projects. • Prior experience working on site-based electrical projects. • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), RFIs, Method Statements, ITPs, and quality documentation. • Experience preparing technical reports, inspection records, and Job Method Statements (JMS). • Hands-on experience managing non-conformance reports and implementing corrective actions. • Strong understanding of quality audits, compliance requirements, and inspection processes. • Excellent root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities. • Strong English communication and reporting skills. • Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams. • Valid UAE Driving License is mandatory. Preferred Experience • Previous experience working on projects with TAQA or other major utility providers. • Experience in both brownfield and greenfield substation projects. • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and electrical construction quality requirements. • Experience working within EPC, utility, transmission, or substation environments.
