QA QC Engineer - MEP

• Conduct thorough inspections of MEP systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. • Develop and implement QA/QC procedures tailored to MEP installations, enhancing overall project quality. • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to identify potential quality issues early in the project lifecycle. • Perform regular audits of MEP worksites and documentation to ensure adherence to safety and quality regulations. • Develop, implement and maintain project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), quality procedures and Method Statements • Conduct inspections and quality checks on MEP installations (mechanical, electrical, fire-fighting and plumbing) at various stages of work • Prepare, review and submit MIRs (Material Inspection Requests), WIRs (Work Inspection Requests) and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) • Coordinate with consultants, clients and sub-contractors on inspection requests, closing out NCRs and resolving quality issues • Ensure all materials delivered to site are inspected and comply with approved submittals and project specifications • Maintain comprehensive quality documentation, trackers and test records, and ensure timely approvals • Participate in internal and external quality audits and assist in continuous improvement initiatives • Coordinate quality requirements across all MEP disciplines with electrical, HVAC, plumbing and fire-fighting site teams • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ensuring a strong technical foundation in MEP systems. • Relevant certifications such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma, showcasing a commitment to quality management principles. • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA/QC experience in MEP projects, demonstrating in-depth industry knowledge. • Experience working in large-scale construction projects, highlighting the ability to manage complex quality challenges.
