PV Site Technician (O&M)

Job Title PV Site Technician (O&M) Job Purpose The PV Site Technician is responsible for the on-site daily activities related to the operation and maintenance of the PV Plant, supporting the PV Engineer. Department Pan Trading Contracting & Services – Doha, Qatar Reports to PV Engineer (O&M) Interfaces Internal: • PV Engineer (O&M) • Plant Manager • Deputy Plant Manager External: • Contractors Education and Experience • Diploma or ITI • Proven track record in electro-mechanical works Knowledge and Expertise • Execution of the preventative and corrective electro-mechanical site issues on a daily basis • Very good understanding of electrical and mechanical design and resolution of the related technical issues • Troubleshooting and resolution of the on-site electro-mechanical technical problems related to the PV plants • HSE conversant • Basic English speaking • Previous experience in the Middle East is advantageous Performance Indicators • Troubleshooting of the technical problems related to the PV Plant • HSE performance Duties and responsibilities • Execution of the preventative and corrective electro-mechanical site issues on a daily basis • Troubleshooting and resolution of the onsite technical problems related to the PV plant supporting the PV Engineer on a daily basis • Ensure all plant equipment and systems are functioning in a way to achieve best in class performance at all time • Provide all regular and extraordinary reports as required and requested from time to time • Demonstrate excellent conduct General • The jobholder shall be medically fit to undertake the full duties of the post • The jobholder shall be prepared to work in a remote area, self-motivated • Maintain a strong work ethics and promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement within the company Candidates are expected to work in Qatar. Applicants should have relevant experience. Good communication skills and fair understanding of HSE is a must for this role.
