Public Area Attendant

Rixos Al Mairid is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Public Area Attendant to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of all public spaces within the property. This role is essential in ensuring that all lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and other shared areas are impeccably maintained to provide a welcoming and comfortable experience for guests and staff. The Public Area Attendant plays a key role in upholding the hotel's cleanliness standards and enhancing the overall guest experience. Key Responsibilities: • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure all public areas, including lobbies, hallways, elevators, restrooms, and outdoor spaces, are cleaned, sanitized, and well-maintained at all times. • Guest Service: Provide excellent service to guests by assisting with directions, answering basic inquiries, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in public spaces. • Restroom Upkeep: Regularly check and clean restrooms, ensuring toiletries and supplies are replenished and the area is kept hygienic. • Floor and Surface Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures to maintain high cleanliness standards. • Trash Management: Empty trash bins regularly and ensure waste disposal follows the hotel's hygiene and environmental policies. • Deep Cleaning: Conduct scheduled deep cleaning tasks such as shampooing carpets, polishing floors, and cleaning high-touch surfaces. • Inventory Control: Monitor and report the need for cleaning supplies, equipment, and any maintenance issues in public areas. • Lost and Found: Follow hotel protocols for handling lost and found items discovered in public spaces. • Safety and Security: Identify and report any potential safety hazards, spills, or maintenance issues to the appropriate department. • Event Support: Assist in setting up and cleaning public areas before and after events or special occasions. • Sustainability and Waste Management: Follow eco-friendly cleaning practices, reduce waste, and support the hotel's sustainability initiatives. • Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role in the hospitality industry is an advantage. • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and perform repetitive tasks. • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and a keen eye for maintaining high standards. • Customer Service Skills: Friendly and professional approach when interacting with guests and staff. • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations. • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and complete cleaning duties efficiently.
