Project Engineer- Subsea Installation

Review project contracts, technical specifications, IFC drawings, method statements, and installation procedures. • Prepare installation work packs, task plans, risk assessments, and engineering calculations. • Coordinate route surveys, cable burial assessments, and seabed preparation activities. • Support development of project schedules, mobilization plans, and resource requirements. Review installation methodologies for cable lay, sleeper placement, crossings, and post-lay activities. Offshore Execution • Supervise offshore cable laying operations from installation vessels, barges, or construction support vessels. • Coordinate deployment and installation of concrete sleepers, cable protection systems, mattresses, and crossing supports. • Monitor vessel operations, DP activities, cable tension, lay speed, touchdown monitoring, and route adherence. • Oversee cable pull-ins, shore approaches, terminations, and tie-in activities where applicable. • Interface with marine, survey, diving, and ROV teams during installation activities. • Monitor subcontractor and vendor performance during offshore campaigns. Project Coordination • Coordinate with clients, construction teams, survey contractors, ROV contractors, and vessel crews. • Track project progress and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports. • Manage technical queries, field change requests, and variation proposal Proven experience in: o Subsea power cable installation. o Concrete sleeper installation. o Cable crossing supports. o Cable protection systems. o Pre-lay and post-lay surveys. o ROV-assisted installation operations. • Experience on offshore construction, cable lay, or DP vessels is mandatory. • ADNOC offshore project experience preferred.
