Job purpose: The Project Director is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of high-impact events, activations, and experiential marketing projects. This senior role oversees multiple project streams, ensures operational excellence, and drives strategic alignment with client objectives. The Project Director serves as a key leader within the agency managing teams, guiding project direction, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring world-class execution across all deliverables. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Delivery: • Lead the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of large-scale events, activations, and experiential programs. • Develop and approve comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource allocations. • Oversee production schedules, logistics, technical operations, and on-site execution to ensure seamless delivery. • Maintain strong vendor partnerships negotiate contracts, evaluate suppliers, and uphold quality and performance standards. • Drive alignment and collaboration across internal teams (creative, production, strategy, client servicing, digital, etc.) to deliver integrated, impactful experiences. Client & Stakeholder Management: • Act as the senior point of contact for key clients, providing guidance, strategic recommendations, and project leadership throughout the entire lifecycle. • Deeply understand client needs, brand goals, and KPIs to ensure all concepts and executions align with strategic objectives. • Lead high-level presentations, project reviews, and post-event evaluations to demonstrate value and performance. Strategic & Creative Contribution: • Collaborate with strategy and creative teams in concept development, brainstorming, and proposal creation. • Provide insights on industry trends, experiential innovations, emerging technologies, and best practices. • Lead the development of pitch decks, proposals, and RFP responses, ensuring compelling and competitive submissions. On-Site Leadership: • Oversee on-site operations, including event setup, rehearsals, technical run-throughs, and live event management. • Manage and guide event teams, suppliers, and contractors to ensure flawless execution. • Mitigate risks, solve challenges proactively, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and operational standards. Financial & Operational Management: • Set, manage, and approve event budgets; ensure accurate forecasting, cost control, and project profitability. • Oversee invoicing, financial reconciliation, procurement, and vendor payments. • Implement and improve processes, tools, and workflows to enhance operational efficiency across projects. • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Business, or a related field. • 7 - 12 years of event or experiential project management experience, ideally within an agency environment. • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, complex events and multi-stream activations. • Strong leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship-management skills. • High proficiency in project management platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Zoho, Asana) and MS Office Suite. • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during event periods.
