About the Role Armatesa is seeking an experienced and strategic Procurement Director to lead and oversee the company’s procurement activities in Kuwait City. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, controlling procurement costs, and ensuring that purchasing activities support the company’s operational and financial objectives. This is a senior leadership position suited to a commercially minded procurement professional who can combine strategic planning with strong operational execution. The Procurement Director will work closely with senior management and internal departments to ensure the timely, cost\-effective, and compliant acquisition of goods and services. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement the company’s overall procurement strategy in alignment with business objectives. * Lead strategic sourcing, supplier selection, tendering, and contract negotiation activities. * Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining quality, service levels, and supply continuity. * Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, contractors, and business partners. * Evaluate supplier performance, pricing, quality, delivery, financial stability, and compliance. * Negotiate favorable commercial terms, payment conditions, pricing, warranties, and service\-level agreements. * Oversee the complete procurement cycle from requisition and sourcing through purchase order, delivery, and contract closeout. * Develop procurement policies, procedures, approval processes, and internal controls. * Monitor procurement spending, budgets, savings, supplier performance, and other key procurement KPIs. * Work closely with Finance, Operations, Projects, Legal, and other departments to align procurement activities with business requirements. * Identify and mitigate procurement and supply\-chain risks, including supplier dependency and supply disruptions. * Lead, mentor, and develop the procurement team, establishing clear objectives and performance standards. * Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and applicable Kuwait regulations. * Introduce procurement best practices, digital tools, and data\-driven processes to improve efficiency and transparency. * Prepare regular procurement reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations for senior management. Qualifications \& Requirements * **Bachelor’s degree** in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline. * **8–12 years of progressive experience** in procurement, strategic sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain management, including significant experience in a managerial or leadership capacity. * Demonstrated experience developing procurement strategies and managing end\-to\-end sourcing activities. * Strong background in **supplier management, contract negotiation, tendering, and commercial evaluation**. * Proven ability to achieve measurable cost savings and improve procurement efficiency. * Strong leadership and team\-management capabilities. * Excellent negotiation, communication, influencing, and stakeholder\-management skills. * Strong analytical and decision\-making abilities, with experience using procurement data and KPIs to drive business decisions. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly **Excel**, and familiarity with ERP/procurement management systems. * Good understanding of procurement controls, vendor due diligence, contract management, and supply\-chain risk. * Strong written and spoken **English**. Preferred Qualifications * **CIPS/MCIPS, CPSM, CSCP**, or another recognized procurement or supply\-chain certification. * Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. * Previous experience working in Kuwait or the wider GCC region. * Experience managing complex or high\-value procurement categories. * Familiarity with local supplier markets, commercial practices, and regulatory requirements in Kuwait. * Experience implementing procurement transformation, automation, or digital procurement systems. الراتب المدفوع: KWD١٬٤٥٠٫٠٠٠ لكل شهر موقع العمل: بشكل شخصي
