Process Improvement Manager

Job Description: Process Improvement Manager (AI & Automation) Location: Sharjah, UAE (20 minutes from Dubai) We are seeking a sharp, technically-minded engineer to lead process improvement initiatives across the company, with a focus on applying AI and automation to enterprise-level processes. This role will work directly across departments manufacturing, supply chain, sales, finance, and HR to identify inefficiencies, redesign workflows, and implement practical AI-driven and automation solutions, including within our SAP environment. This is a high-visibility role reporting into senior leadership, with a mandate to modernize how Indus operates. You will move fast, work independently, and be expected to turn ambiguous problems into working solutions whether that means reconfiguring an SAP process, building a quick automation tool, or designing a new workflow from scratch. Key Responsibilities Process Discovery & Mapping Study current workflows across departments to identify bottlenecks, manual effort, and inefficiencies. Document existing processes and design improved, streamlined versions. Prioritize improvement opportunities based on impact, cost, and ease of implementation. AI & Automation Implementation Identify where AI tools (including LLM-based tools) can meaningfully improve speed, accuracy, or decision-making in enterprise processes. Build and deploy quick automation solutions (e.g., scripts, workflow automation tools, integrations) to eliminate manual, repetitive work. Pilot new tools with individual teams before rolling out company-wide. Enterprise Systems (SAP) Work within SAP to optimize existing processes and configurations across functions. Partner with process owners to identify where SAP workflows can be simplified, automated, or better utilized. Coordinate with external SAP support/consultants where needed for configuration changes. Cross-Functional Rollout & Change Management Work closely with department heads and end users to ensure new processes and tools are actually adopted. Train employees on new systems and tools, and provide ongoing support. Track and report on efficiency gains and ROI from implemented improvements. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Computer Science, or related field). 2-3 years of experience in process improvement, business systems, automation, or a related analytical role. Working knowledge of SAP or another major ERP system is a strong plus. Hands-on familiarity with automation and AI tools (e.g., Power Automate, Zapier, Python, RPA/UiPath, or LLM-based workflows). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of ambiguous, open-ended projects. Excellent communication skills comfortable working with both shop-floor staff and senior leadership. A proactive, curious mindset with genuine interest in applying new technology to real business problems.
