Practice Cloud & Infrastructure Technologies Infrastructure & Cloud Location: saudi, Saudi Arabia Type: Contract Platform Engineer Location: Hybrid / Remote Employment Type: Permanent / Contract Language Requirements: English (Required) About the Role We are seeking a talented Platform Engineer to join a growing technology team responsible for designing, building and maintaining modern cloud platforms that enable application teams to deliver software efficiently, securely and at scale. You will play a key role in developing self-service infrastructure, automating operational processes, enhancing platform reliability and driving best practices across cloud, DevOps and platform engineering. Key Responsibilities • Design, build and maintain cloud-native platform services. • Manage and optimise Kubernetes environments and container platforms. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform. • Build and improve CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery. • Implement GitOps practices and platform automation. • Improve platform observability, monitoring and alerting capabilities. • Ensure platform security, scalability and resilience. • Support production environments, incident management and root cause analysis. • Develop self-service capabilities for engineering teams. • Collaborate with software engineers, architects and DevOps teams to improve developer experience. Required Skills & Experience • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP). • Experience with Kubernetes and containerisation technologies. • Hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code. • Experience with CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps or Jenkins. • Knowledge of Linux administration and scripting. • Experience with GitOps tools such as ArgoCD or Flux. • Understanding of networking, security and cloud architecture principles. • Experience supporting and operating production platforms. • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills • Helm and Kubernetes package management. • HashiCorp Vault and secrets management. • Service Mesh technologies. • Observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry. • Python, Go or Bash scripting. • Platform engineering and developer portal experience. • Cloud security and compliance frameworks. • Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
