Planning & Project Controls Engineer

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced **Planning \& Project Controls Engineer** with a strong background in construction projects to manage project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, reporting, and project controls. The ideal candidate should have hands\-on experience with **Primavera P6**, construction schedules, critical path analysis, progress tracking, and recovery planning. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction project schedules using **Primavera P6**. * Prepare baseline programs, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), look\-ahead schedules, and recovery programs. * Monitor actual site progress against approved schedules and identify delays or potential schedule risks. * Track project milestones, critical activities, resources, and overall schedule performance. * Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, S\-curves, manpower histograms, and project dashboards. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and procurement teams to ensure project activities remain on schedule. * Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions for schedule delays. * Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) documentation, and recovery schedules. * Monitor subcontractor programs and assess their progress against approved schedules. * Support project forecasting, resource planning, and productivity monitoring. * Maintain accurate planning records, progress updates, reports, and project documentation. * Attend progress and coordination meetings and provide clear updates on project performance. * Identify project risks, constraints, and potential delays and recommend practical solutions. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field**. * Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in construction planning and project controls. * Strong experience in **building and civil construction projects**. * Excellent knowledge of **Primavera P6**; MS Project is an advantage. * Strong understanding of WBS, baseline schedules, critical path, float, construction sequencing, and progress measurement. * Experience in delay analysis, recovery planning, and EOT documentation is preferred. * Proficiency in **MS Excel and Microsoft Office**. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements. * Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and reporting skills. * **GCC construction experience is required; Bahrain experience is highly preferred.** * Must be **currently available in Bahrain**. * **Immediate joiner** or short notice period preferred. * Candidates with a **cancelled/transferable visa or valid local status** are preferred. Ideal Candidate We are specifically looking for a **hands\-on Planning \& Project Controls Engineer**, not someone limited to administrative planning. The successful candidate should be confident in Primavera P6, site progress monitoring, schedule updating, critical path analysis, recovery planning, and project reporting.
