Planning & Scheduling Engineer

Job Description We are looking for an experienced **Planning \& Scheduling Engineer** to join our construction team in Bahrain. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in project planning, construction scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls, with practical knowledge of **Primavera P6**. The candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules, monitoring site progress, identifying delays, and coordinating with project and site teams to ensure projects are completed within approved timelines. Key Responsibilities * Develop, maintain, and update detailed construction schedules using **Primavera P6**. * Prepare **WBS, baseline programs, master schedules, milestones, and look\-ahead schedules**. * Monitor actual site progress against approved project schedules. * Collect progress updates from site teams and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports. * Monitor the **critical path, float, milestones, and schedule performance**. * Identify delays, risks, and potential schedule slippages and recommend corrective actions. * Prepare **recovery schedules** for delayed activities. * Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, QS, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders. * Track manpower, materials, equipment, procurement, and site activities against project requirements. * Prepare progress reports, S\-curves, manpower/resource histograms, and schedule updates. * Assist with **delay analysis and Extension of Time (EOT)** documentation when required. * Attend project progress meetings and provide accurate planning and scheduling updates. * Maintain proper records of project programs, progress updates, revisions, and planning documentation. * Ensure construction activities are properly sequenced and aligned with project milestones. Requirements * Bachelor's Degree in **Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field**. * **3–5 years of relevant experience** in construction planning and scheduling. * Strong experience in building, civil, commercial, residential, or large\-scale construction projects. * Excellent practical knowledge of **Primavera P6**. * Knowledge of **MS Project** is an advantage. * Strong understanding of WBS, CPM, baseline schedules, construction sequencing, and progress measurement. * Experience in progress monitoring, schedule updating, recovery planning, and delay analysis. * Ability to read and understand construction drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements. * Strong **MS Excel and Microsoft Office** skills. * GCC/Bahrain construction experience is highly preferred. * Strong analytical, communication, coordination, and reporting skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict project deadlines. * **Must be currently available in Bahrain.** * **Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.** Ideal Candidate We are looking for a **hands\-on construction Planning \& Scheduling Engineer** with practical site experience.
