Microbiologist

Required Qualifications • BSc / MSc in Microbiology or Biotechnology • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience • Experience in a commercial / third-party testing laboratory is preferred. • Experience in food, water or environmental microbiology is preferred. • Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and microbiological testing methods. • Good documentation and communication skills. • Perform microbiological testing of food, water, environmental and other samples . • Follow approved microbiological methods, SOPs and laboratory procedures. • Conduct routine microbiological analysis, identification and enumeration of microorganisms. • Maintain accurate test records, worksheets and laboratory documentation. • Perform media preparation, sterilization and quality checks. • Conduct Growth Promotion Testing (GPT) and other microbiological quality-control activities. • Work according to ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory requirements.
