MEP Engineer

We are looking for a qualified and experienced MEP Engineer to oversee mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge, experience in MEP design and site execution, and the ability to coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other engineering teams to ensure projects meet approved drawings, quality standards, safety requirements, and project timelines. Key Responsibilities • Plan, review, and coordinate mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for construction projects. • Review MEP drawings, technical specifications, material submittals, and shop drawings. • Coordinate with architectural, structural, and civil engineering teams to resolve design clashes and site-related issues. • Supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of MEP systems. • Ensure all MEP works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable UAE regulations, and relevant authority requirements. • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor installation quality and project progress. • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth execution of MEP works. • Monitor project schedules, material requirements, and manpower allocation to meet deadlines. • Identify technical issues, troubleshoot system-related problems, and recommend appropriate solutions. • Verify the quality of materials and equipment before installation. • Prepare progress reports, inspection requests, technical documentation, and project handover documents. • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements on construction sites. • Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper handover of completed systems. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. • Proven experience as an MEP Engineer in building construction projects. • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical installations, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems. • Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and construction documents. • Familiarity with AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit MEP and BIM coordination is an advantage. • Knowledge of UAE building regulations and relevant authority requirements. • Experience coordinating with consultants, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary project teams. • Understanding of MEP testing, commissioning, quality control, and site safety procedures. • Strong problem-solving, communication, coordination, and project management skills. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines. • UAE construction project experience is preferred.
