MEP AND CIVIL TECHNICIAN

• Assist engineers in designing and developing MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) and Civil systems by creating detailed drawings and schematics using CAD software. • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data, assess existing conditions, and verify compliance with design specifications and building codes. • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for MEP and Civil components, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and suppliers to resolve design issues, coordinate installations, and ensure smooth project execution. • Perform calculations for structural loads, pipe sizing, electrical loads, and HVAC requirements, contributing to the integrity and efficiency of systems. • Monitor construction progress on-site, ensuring that MEP and Civil installations adhere to approved drawings, specifications, and safety standards. • Maintain and update project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and as-built records, ensuring all information is current and accessible. • Support the testing and commissioning of MEP and Civil systems, verifying functionality and performance against design intent. • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout all project phases, contributing to a safe working environment. • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with existing MEP and Civil systems, proposing practical solutions and assisting in their implementation. • Professional certifications such as AutoCAD Certified Professional, Revit Certified Professional, or relevant industry-specific accreditations. • Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field. • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in MEP and Civil design, drafting, and site supervision within the construction or building services industry. • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and international standards relevant to MEP and Civil engineering disciplines. • Excellent technical skills in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for both MEP and Civil works.
