Medical Science Liaison KSA (Dermatology)

Key Responsibilities: Strategic goals: • Advance Science and standards of care for patients and healthcare providers • Enhance the scientific credibility of Galderma with established and emerging national and regional key thought / opinion leaders (KTLs/KOLs) • Act as the point of contact with KTLs/KOLs to facilitate medical-scientific projects and requests (e.g. clinical studies, NIS, IITs) for support to the local and global medical teams as appropriate • Identify, develop and maintain contact with local, regional and national KTLs/KOLs and experts through internally approved field engagement plans • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with KTLs/KOLs and academic centers in the therapeutic area to ensure access to current medical and scientific information and to facilitate Galderma research and educational priorities and strategic initiatives Information/Support: • Ensure that KTLs/KOLs can access all the practical and clinically relevant information and solutions they need to use Galderma s products efficiently and safely • Interact with, and support the needs of, Tier 1, 2 and 3 external experts • Work to communicate information and facilitate dialogue about Gladerma s compound in development in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner, and in full compliance with applicable national laws and regulations, guidelines, Galderma s policies and procedures and accepted standards of best practice • Independent organization and implementation of advisory boards • Plan, contact and brief speakers for scientific symposia • Carry out and support sales force education and training courses • Deliver credible scientific and medical Slide kits to physicians, healthcare providers and other stakeholders as needed • Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences • Support scientific dialogue and collaborations in the areas of research, medical and scientific exchange, including facilitation of requests for scientific and medical information • As appropriate and needed; produce, review, and update internally approved scientific presentations for assigned therapeutic areas • Maintain a high level of scientific knowledge to ensure credible dissemination of scientific information and informed scientific dialogue with KOLs/KTLs • Gather and generate actionable insights through: Attending congresses, engaging with external stakeholders, staying updated in relevant scientific literature, preparing summaries, and presenting key perspectives to Galderma teams including competitor analyses Cooperation / Communication: • Close interdepartmental cooperation with the medical office staff and relevant marketing & sales teams • Support internal teams such as sales and marketing to develop their scientific expertise through the delivery of scientific update presentations • Work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other in-field members while retaining functional independence • Communicate and interact with the Global and International Medical Affairs teams • Serve as a point of contact within the Medical Affairs Team for KTLs/KOLs within KSA in order to satisfy their needs for scientific knowledge in a therapeutic area and, when requested, relevant Galderma medicines, to support their safe, effective and appropriate use • Participate in the selection process to identify appropriately qualified thought leaders Galderma would wish to engage in collaborative efforts such as potential research collaborations, or educational and advisory roles (Advisory Boards, Congresses, Symposia, etc.) while ensuring a high level of scientific or educational integrity in these collaborative efforts • Medical, Pharmacy or higher degree qualification (e.g. MSc, PhD) in a relevant life sciences field • Dermatology/Aesthetics/Immunology-Biologics (desirable), • Proven several years related medical and/or research and development experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical devices industry (desirable) • Experience in liaising with medical professionals and opinion leaders • Demonstrable experience of developing and presenting scientific/medical content at a variety of levels, including to practicing clinical peers and seniors (essential) • Good communication and presentation skills (essential) • Meeting planning and facilitation skills and Ability to interface effectively with a variety of technical platforms • Ability to function in a team-oriented (matrix) environment • Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and work effec- tively in a constantly changing environment.
