Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician Nuclear Power Plant (Outage Maintenance) Ensure the safety and reliability of a world-class nuclear facility. We are seeking experienced Mechanical Technicians to perform maintenance during re-fueling outages at the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant. This role requires hands-on expertise with key mechanical systems while ensuring strict adherence to nuclear safety, quality, health, and environmental standards. Key Responsibilities: • Perform preventive, corrective, and major overhaul maintenance on mechanical systems, including valves, pumps, chillers, diesels, HVAC, and filtration systems. • Conduct rigging, lifting, alignment, and bolting/torquing operations safely and efficiently. • Inspect, repair, and replace components such as gaskets, seals, filters, and strainers. • Execute diagnostic testing and maintenance for diesel systems, ensuring optimal performance. • Support surveillance and periodic testing as required for plant maintenance. Key Qualifications & Skills: • Technician certificate or equivalent qualification in mechanical maintenance. • Nuclear Outage/ Shutdown experience is a Mandatory. • Hands-on experience in valve maintenance, pump overhauls, rigging, lifting, lubrication, and steam/compressed gas systems. • Proficiency in using mechanical hand tools, measuring/test equipment, and interpreting technical drawings. • Strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality standards.
