Mechanic

Role & responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment and machinery. Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to minimize equipment downtime. Inspect machines and identify worn or damaged parts for replacement. Dismantle, repair, assemble, and overhaul mechanical components. Install, align, and commission mechanical equipment. Maintain pumps, motors, gearboxes, compressors, conveyors, valves, and other rotating equipment. Lubricate machinery and ensure proper maintenance schedules are followed. Replace bearings, seals, belts, chains, couplings, and other mechanical components. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and maintenance procedures. Preferred candidate profile ITI, Technical Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Fitter, Diesel Mechanic, or a related trade. Minimum 25 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, equipment repair, or industrial maintenance. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and maintenance practices. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults efficiently. Experience with pumps, compressors, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, valves, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
