Marine Mechanic

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on various marine vessels, including engines, transmissions, and steering systems. • Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks, ensuring optimal performance and longevity of marine equipment. • Troubleshoot and resolve engine malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and technical manuals, minimizing downtime and ensuring safe operation. • Inspect and repair fuel systems, including fuel lines, pumps, and injectors, maintaining fuel efficiency and preventing leaks. • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a marine mechanic training program is preferred. • Relevant certifications, such as ABYC or manufacturer-specific certifications, demonstrating expertise in marine systems. • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience working on a variety of marine engines and systems. • Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel and gasoline engines, transmissions, and related equipment.
