Position Details: Position Title: Dy Manager / Manager Mechanical (BOP / ASU Qualification: Diploma/ B. Tech in Mechanical Experience: 8 to 15 Yrs Location: Saudi Arabia Purpose of the Role To support the execution of mechanical maintenance activities for the Air Separation Unit (ASU) at Duqm, ensuring equipment reliability, plant availability, adherence to safety standards, and cost-effective maintenance practices, under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager. Job Responsibilities (KRA) Project & Construction Phase Work closely with the project and maintenance teams during construction of the ASU plant. Assist in mechanical erection and installation activities of key equipment, including: o Air compressors, expanders, and cryogenic pumps o Cold box systems, piping, and static equipment Support supervision of installation, alignment, and pre-commissioning checks. Ensure compliance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Coordinate with EPC contractors, vendors, and internal teams for smooth execution and timely completion of mechanical works. Commissioning & Startup Phase Participate in commissioning activities, testing, and plant startup. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues during initial operation. Support performance testing and stabilization of the plant. Operations & Maintenance Phase Execute mechanical maintenance activities as per planned schedules. Support development and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs. Monitor equipment performance and report deviations to the Maintenance Manager. Assist in root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives. Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities and adherence to safety procedures. Equipment Management Air compressors, expanders, turbines Cryogenic pumps & cold box systems Heat exchangers and cryogenic pipelines Water Pumps , Cryogenics Pumps , EOT Crane Static Equipment Cooling towers, chilled water systems Utility compressors, air dryers Firewater systems, storage tanks Nitrogen/Oxygen distribution pipelines Ensure maximum reliability and availability of all equipment. 2. Reliability & Troubleshooting Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for critical failures. Improve Reliability through structured maintenance practices. Implement condition monitoring techniques (vibration, thermography, oil analysis). 3. Shutdown & Turnaround Management Plan and execute annual shutdowns and major overhauls. Coordinate with operations, contractors, and OEMs. Ensure adherence to schedule, cost, safety, and quality requirements. 4. Safety & Compliance Ensure compliance with: o HSE standards and company safety policies o Cryogenic safety procedures o Permit-to-Work (PTW) system Drive a zero-incident safety culture. 5. Budgeting & Cost Control Prepare and manage maintenance budgets. Optimize maintenance costs and spare part inventory. Ensure availability of critical spares for uninterrupted operations. 6. Continuous Improvement Drive initiatives in: o Reliability enhancement o Energy efficiency o Digital and predictive maintenance systems
