Role & responsibilities Financial Planning & Analysis Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning for supply chain operations. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate business scenarios, operational initiatives, and strategic investments. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, providing actionable insights and recommendations. Capital Investment & Business Case Evaluation Review and evaluate business cases for capital investments, including logistics infrastructure, automation, warehousing, and technology projects. Assess investment proposals based on ROI, payback period, NPV, cash flow implications, and strategic relevance. Partner with business teams to ensure optimal allocation of capital resources. Supply Chain Performance Management Analyze key supply chain metrics and drivers including inventory, warehousing, transportation, fulfillment costs, and freight performance. Provide financial insights to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability across the supply chain network. Drive cost optimization initiatives aligned with business objectives. Governance, Controls & Compliance Establish and strengthen financial controls, governance mechanisms, and process frameworks. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accounting standards, and internal control requirements. Drive process improvements and risk mitigation initiatives across supply chain finance operations. Automation & Business Transformation Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting, reconciliations, MIS, and analytical processes. Support implementation of digital and technology-led initiatives that enhance financial visibility and operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Stakeholder Management Partner with Supply Chain, E-commerce, Retail, Technology, Procurement, and Operations teams to support business decision-making. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external service providers. Present financial analyses, business cases, and recommendations to senior management.
Preferred candidate profile Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory. Additional certifications in Finance, Analytics, Supply Chain, or Business Management will be an advantage. 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Finance, Supply Chain Finance, FP&A, Business Finance, Commercial Finance, or Project Finance. Experience evaluating capital investments and business cases. Exposure to supply chain operations, logistics, warehousing, e-commerce, retail, or distribution environments will be preferred. Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and performance management. Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities. Expertise in investment appraisal techniques such as ROI, NPV, IRR, and Payback Analysis. Sound understanding of supply chain cost structures and operational metrics. Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills. Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools, and finance automation initiatives. Ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
