Lead Electrical Design Engineer

• Lead and undertake electrical engineering design for building and infrastructure-related projects. • Prepare electrical design calculations, specifications, layouts, schematics, and schedules. • Design and coordinate LV systems, power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, and lightning protection systems. • Review project requirements, applicable codes, authority regulations, and client specifications. • Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, infrastructure, and other disciplines. • Review electrical drawings, technical submittals, equipment selections, and design documentation. • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and BIM teams. • Ensure designs comply with UAE regulations, international standards, and authority requirements. • Attend technical meetings with clients, contractors, authorities, and project stakeholders. • Support project managers in resolving technical and design issues. • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university. • Experience: 12-15 years of professional experience in electrical engineering design. • Consultancy Experience: Strong experience within an engineering consultancy and multidisciplinary projects. • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution, lighting, load calculations, earthing, lightning protection, and relevant standards. • Software: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP. Navisworks experience is highly desirable. • Local Expertise: Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements, codes, standards, and approval processes. • Leadership: Ability to independently manage electrical design packages and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
