Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive quotations, tenders, and cost estimates for luxury retail maintenance, refurbishment, and fit-out projects across the UAE. This role plays a critical part in securing new projects while ensuring Beauvoir maintains healthy profit margins and delivers the premium quality expected by our clients. The role combines technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and attention to detail to produce reliable estimates within tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities Tender & Cost Estimation • Review architectural, MEP, structural and shop drawings. • Analyse project specifications and scope of work. • Prepare accurate BOQs (Bills of Quantities). • Perform quantity take-offs. • Estimate labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs. • Prepare comprehensive cost breakdowns. • Develop competitive commercial proposals. • Ensure all quotations meet Beauvoir's required profit margins. Supplier & Subcontractor Management • Obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors. • Build and maintain relationships with approved vendors. • Continuously update pricing databases. • Negotiate pricing to maximise project profitability. Site Visits • Attend site surveys before quotation when required. • Identify potential risks or missing scope. • Verify dimensions and site conditions. • Recommend value engineering opportunities. Commercial Responsibilities • Monitor material price fluctuations. • Identify commercial risks before tender submission. • Prepare variation quotations. • Support project managers with change order pricing. • Assist with project handover after award. Documentation • Prepare professional quotations and tender submissions. • Maintain estimation records and cost databases. • Update historical project costing. • Ensure all submissions are completed before deadlines. Coordination • Work closely with: • Project Managers • Engineers • Site Supervisors • Procurement • Suppliers • Clients (when clarification is required) Required Qualifications • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or related field. • Minimum 3 years of UAE experience in estimating. • Previous experience in: • Luxury Retail • Interior Fit-Out • Maintenance Contracts (AMC) • Joinery • MEP works • UAE Driving Licence preferred. Technical Skills • Strong understanding of: • Civil Works • Joinery • MEP • HVAC • Electrical • Plumbing • Gypsum • Painting • Glass • Flooring • Ability to read construction drawings. • BOQ preparation. • Quantity take-off. • Cost analysis. • Knowledge of UAE construction market rates. • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills. • Experience with AutoCAD (preferred). • Knowledge of estimation software is an advantage.
