Junior Accountant – Invoicing & AR

**Position Overview** We are seeking a detail\-oriented and organized **Junior Accountant** to join our finance team in Abu Dhabi. This role focuses primarily on invoicing, billing accuracy, Accounts Receivable (AR) management, and basic financial reporting. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated accounting graduate or early\-career professional looking to build solid hands\-on experience in corporate accounting within the UAE market. **Key Responsibilities** * **Invoicing \& Billing:** Generate and issue accurate, timely commercial invoices and credit notes in compliance with UAE VAT regulations. * **Accounts Receivable:** Monitor customer accounts, track outstanding payments, maintain AR aging reports, and assist with routine payment follow\-ups. * **Journal Entries \& Reconciliations:** Record daily billing transactions, process payment receipts, and assist with monthly bank and customer statement reconciliations. * **Data Management \& Excel Reporting:** Maintain organized financial files and use Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) to track accounts and prepare basic accounting summaries. * **Audit \& Compliance Support:** Ensure proper filing and documentation for all revenue transactions and VAT records to support internal and external audits. * **Team Collaboration:** Coordinate with operational and administrative teams to resolve customer billing queries or discrepancies efficiently. **Requirements** * **Education:** Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce. * **Experience:** 6 months to 2 years of relevant accounting experience *(motivated fresh graduates with strong foundational knowledge are welcome to apply)*. * **Core Accounting Skills:** Sound understanding of basic accounting principles, debit/credit entries, and the Accounts Receivable cycle. * **Technical Skills:** Intermediate to advanced proficiency in **Microsoft Excel** (must be comfortable with VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and SUMIF formulas). * **VAT Knowledge:** Familiarity with basic **UAE VAT regulations** and tax invoice requirements. * **Soft Skills:** Highly organized, strong attention to detail, good numerical aptitude, and clear written/verbal communication skills. **Preferred (Nice to Have)** * Direct hands\-on experience in **Accounts Receivable and Invoicing** (rather than strictly Accounts Payable). * Prior industry background in **Transport, Logistics, or Oil \& Gas**. * Familiarity with standard accounting software or ERP systems (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or SAP).
