Junior Accountant - GL

The Junior Accountant – GL will support the General Ledger function by maintaining accurate financial records, performing reconciliations, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month\-end closing activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist with General Ledger accounting and journal entries. * Perform bank and GL account reconciliations. * Support month\-end and year\-end closing processes. * Maintain schedules for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets. * Assist in preparing VAT returns and audit schedules. * Verify accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records. * Support financial reporting and other accounting activities as assigned. **Qualifications \& Skills:** * Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * 2\-4 years of accounting experience, preferably in General Ledger. * Oman experience is preferred. * ACCA/CMA/CPA/CIMA (partly qualified or pursuing) is an advantage. * Good knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel.
