Interior Designer – Fit-Out & Joinery

We are looking for a creative and technically strong **Interior Designer** to join our growing team. The ideal candidate should be able to take a project from concept development through detailed design, material selection, technical drawings and site coordination. Key Responsibilities: Design \& Concept Development * Develop creative and functional interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects. * Understand client requirements, lifestyle, brand identity, budget and functional needs. * Prepare mood boards, material palettes, colour schemes and design presentations. * Develop space\-planning solutions that balance aesthetics, functionality and practicality. * Select appropriate finishes, materials, furniture, lighting, fixtures and accessories. * Present design concepts and revisions to clients and incorporate feedback. Technical Drawings \& Documentation * Prepare detailed **2D drawings, furniture layouts, reflected ceiling plans, flooring layouts, elevations and sections**. * Prepare detailed joinery drawings and coordinate custom furniture/joinery requirements. * Develop detailed drawings suitable for production and site execution. * Prepare material schedules, finish schedules and design specifications. * Ensure drawings are accurate, coordinated and issued within project timelines. * Review shop drawings and coordinate design requirements with joinery and site teams. Site \& Project Coordination * Conduct site visits and verify site dimensions and existing conditions. * Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, contractors, joinery teams and suppliers. * Resolve design and technical issues encountered during execution. * Monitor implementation of the approved design on site. * Review samples, mock\-ups, materials and finishes to ensure they meet the approved design intent. * Assist in ensuring that projects are delivered according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards. Client \& Vendor Coordination * Communicate effectively with clients throughout the design and execution process. * Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and accessories. * Research and source new materials, finishes and design solutions. * Prepare material presentations and assist in obtaining client approvals. * Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, samples and approvals. Requirements * **2–5 years of relevant experience** in interior design, preferably within the UAE fit\-out industry. * Degree/Diploma in **Interior Design, Architecture or a related discipline**. * Strong portfolio demonstrating residential and/or commercial interior projects. * Strong knowledge of **interior materials, finishes, furniture, lighting and joinery**. * Proficiency in **AutoCAD** is essential. * Experience with **SketchUp, 3ds Max, Revit, Enscape, V\-Ray, Lumion or similar software** is an advantage. * Good knowledge of technical drawings and construction details. * Ability to understand architectural and MEP drawings. * Strong understanding of joinery detailing and production requirements. * Good knowledge of UAE interior design and fit\-out standards and practices is preferred. * Strong communication, presentation and client\-handling skills. * Creative, detail\-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to work under tight deadlines and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
