We are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to join a leading Civil Construction project in Abu Dhabi. Position: HSE Engineer Industry: Civil Construction Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Contract Duration: 8 Months (Extendable) Job Description:- HSE Engineer to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance for civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in building construction, villa projects, and high-rise developments, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities Implement and monitor Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and procedures across project sites. Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and HSE training programs for employees and subcontractors. Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and enforce safe work practices. Prepare and maintain HSE reports, inspection records, audits, and statutory documentation. Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including drills and response planning. Work closely with project management and site teams to promote a proactive safety culture. Support internal and external HSE audits and ensure timely closure of observations. Requirements Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering or a related discipline. Minimum 10 years of HSE experience in Civil Construction, including building, villa, and high-rise projects. Valid NEBOSH and IOSH certifications (mandatory). Strong knowledge of construction safety practices, risk assessment, incident investigation, and HSE management systems. Excellent communication, leadership, and reporting skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Experience working on UAE construction projects is preferred.
