About the Role We are hiring a qualified and enthusiastic Homeroom Teacher/Year 5/6 Primary Teacher (Mathematics Specialist) British Curriculum , Upper Primary Teacher with a strong Mathematics background to teach Years 5 and 6 within the British Curriculum for one of our esteemed international level well-established British Curriculum school in Al Ain, UAE . Candidates must demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and a proven ability to raise student achievement in Mathematics.Primary Teachers with significant experience teaching Mathematics at Upper Primary level are also encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities • Deliver engaging Year 5/6 lessons aligned with the British Curriculum. • Plan and teach high-quality Mathematics lessons. • Prepare students for academic progression through effective assessment and targeted intervention. • Monitor student performance and provide regular feedback. • Promote an engaging, inclusive, and positive learning environment. • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student success • Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning. • Support children's academic, emotional, social, physical, and creative development. • Observe, assess, and monitor children's progress, maintaining accurate learning records. • Differentiate learning activities to meet individual developmental needs. • Encourage curiosity, creativity, communication, and independent thinking. • Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues. • Maintain effective classroom management and positive behaviour strategies. • Participate in school events, meetings, parent consultations, and professional development activities. • Ensure compliance with safeguarding, child protection, health, and safety policies. Candidate Requirements Nationality Preference We are particularly interested in applications from: • UK Nationals (NQTs encouraged to apply) • Irish Nationals • South African Nationals • Other native English-speaking teachers with proven British Curriculum experience Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Education or Bachelor's Degree plus PGCE/PGDE (or equivalent) Experience • Minimum 2 years teaching the British Curriculum preferred. • Strong Mathematics teaching experience in Years 5 and 6. • UAE experience not required. Preferred • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching licence. • Female applicants only. • Preferred age: Up to late 40s. Skills & Competencies • Excellent classroom management skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. • Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences. • Effective assessment and progress monitoring skills. • Strong organisational and planning abilities. • Excellent spoken and written English. • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning.
