High Voltage Electrical Supervisor

Job Summary Responsible for supervising the installation, operation, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of high-voltage electrical systems, including RMUs, switchgear, transformers, and substations, ensuring safe and reliable power distribution. Key Duties and Responsibilities • Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of RMUs, HV switchgear, transformers, and associated electrical equipment. • Coordinate HV switching, isolation, earthing, and restoration activities in accordance with approved procedures and authorization limits. • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and troubleshoot electrical faults. • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, permit-to-work (PTW), lockout/tagout (LOTO), and HSE requirements. • Review single-line diagrams, electrical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments. • Coordinate with electrical engineers, technicians, clients, and utility representatives. • Monitor contractors and technicians to ensure work quality and timely completion. • Maintain inspection reports, maintenance logs, test certificates, and equipment records. • Ensure all activities comply with applicable Qatar regulations, utility requirements, and client procedures. • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. • Minimum 5 years of experience in HV electrical systems, including hands-on RMU experience. • Practical knowledge of HV switchgear, transformers, substations, cable testing, and fault diagnosis. • Knowledge of HV switching procedures, electrical isolation, earthing, PTW, and LOTO. • Experience in maintenance, testing, and commissioning of RMUs and associated equipment. • Qatar utility or client-specific authorization is an advantage.
