Heavy Vehicle Driver

• Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of heavy vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations, identifying any mechanical issues before hitting the road. • Safely load and unload cargo, securing shipments properly to prevent damage during transit. • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route changes, delays, or issues encountered on the road. • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe driving practices. • Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, demonstrating problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges on the road. • Conduct post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good condition, reporting any maintenance needs promptly. • Exhibit a professional demeanor when interacting with clients, ensuring a positive representation of the company at all times. • High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional certifications in heavy vehicle operation are preferred. • A minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience in heavy vehicles, showcasing reliability and commitment to safety. • Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills may be advantageous for communication with diverse clients. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with clients and team members. • Strong understanding of vehicle mechanics to identify and address basic maintenance issues independently. • Valid heavy vehicle driver’s license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements, demonstrating proficiency in operating large vehicles.
