About the role We are looking for a qualified and proactive Supervisor to oversee fire alarm, communication, and life safety systems, while supporting workplace health and safety requirements. The role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, compliance with regulations, hazard identification, record keeping, and active participation in safety committee activities. The position requires technical competence, strong safety awareness, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond to emergencies, including after-hours What you will do • Follow proper payroll, attendance, and uniform procedures. • Install, repair, maintain, and remove fire terminals, mobile computer terminals, remote repeater site equipment, update system identification, and adjust projection screen displays. • Install, repair, maintain, and remove fire station communication systems, including amplifiers, digitized vocal systems, radio vocal systems, and speakers; perform minor telephone repairs. • Install, repair, maintain, and remove fire sirens and communication systems (Motorola, Alcatel, Edwards). • Operate circuit testing equipment, aerial lift equipment, power tools, hand tools, and related equipment. • Troubleshoot fire station and fire detection communication systems and perform scheduled preventive maintenance. • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, specifications, and procedures. • Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, symbols, and technical markings. • Conduct periodic inspections and spot checks. • Maintain all records and logs required by law. • Identify hazards, report them, propose corrective actions, and follow up on implementation. • Serve as Secretary of the Safety Committee. • Attend safety committee meetings, take minutes, and organize and conduct training sessions. • Report violations and discuss them with offenders and their respective department heads. • Prepare semi-annual safety statistics and reports as required by law. • Respond to public inquiries professionally and resolve complaints in a timely manner. • Adhere to all safety codes, regulations, specifications, and safe work practices, including obtaining required permits. • Respond to communication and system emergencies during evenings and weekends as required. What you bring 1. Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language is highly desirable 2. High school diploma or equivalent experience. 3. Two years of relevant experience in a related position with Four Seasons or another organization is required. 4. Practical technical knowledge of addressable and conventional fire alarm system maintenance is required. 5. Working knowledge is generally learned on-the-job or through a series of professional certifications 6. Requires knowledge of the ability to operate computer and alarm-panel software 7. Highly organized with keen attention to detail 8. Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively. 9. Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with staff, guests, and other departments. 10. Organization & Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. 11. Knowledge of Safety Regulations: Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and building codes. 12. Budget Management: Basic understanding of budgeting and cost control.
