Job description

Medical Staff Talent is appointing a UK & European-trained Head Nurse to a private family in Riyadh, leading the household s nursing team private duty, paediatric, neonatal and critical care nurses and holding clinical governance across the residence. The appointment is the single point of nursing coordination between the household s Medical Director, visiting consultants and the family office, at home and when the family travels. The Mandate • Clinical leadership of the household nursing team: rostering, competency, supervision and development of private duty, paediatric, neonatal and critical care nurses. • Governance: protocols, medication management, documentation, escalation pathways and audit to a standard any regulator would recognise. • Single point of coordination with the Medical Director, visiting consultants and the family office, including international medical coordination when the family travels. • Absolute discretion under NDA. Base remuneration starts from €5,000 a month, depending on the appointment. It is a gross salary, agreed directly with the family and paid into the bank account of your choice. Take advice from your own tax adviser on whether the income is taxable in your circumstances. Because accommodation and flights sit outside the base figure, the practical comparison is with your current pay after rent and commuting, taking your own tax position into account. Our note on reading the real numbers behind a Gulf salary walks through that arithmetic. Your home-country tax position on departure split-year treatment for UK residents, exit formalities elsewhere in Europe is worth settling with an independent cross-border adviser before the first salary lands, and cost of living and net position for Gulf clinicians gives the household-level numbers. Run your own comparison with the UK versus GCC gross package calculator or the Gulf package estimator ; we are happy to walk through the result with you before any interview. The capital rewards clinicians who arrive with a plan for their time off: the Diplomatic Quarter s parks and restaurants, the compounds pools and sports clubs, Diriyah s historic district, and a winter calendar of concerts, sport and exhibitions that did not exist a few years ago. Accommodation for a household appointment is provided by the family, within the residence, which removes the largest relocation variable at a stroke. Direct flights to London take around seven hours; Jeddah and the Red Sea coast are an hour s flight for a weekend. The cultural adjustment guide covers what nobody puts in the offer letter. Every appointment is single-status: the families we work with require clinicians who relocate alone. The household has retained us exclusively, which shapes how the search runs: there is no agency panel and no CV database. Vanessa, our Executive Search Lead, holds a confidential briefing call with every candidate we take forward the appointment in detail, the household s expectations and the life around the post before anything is committed to paper. From there the sequence is fixed: dossier and credential verification, an anonymised profile to the family office with your written authorisation, video interviews, an in-person meeting arranged by the household, then offer, NDA and a contract agreed directly with the family. The time-to-hire estimator shows what each stage takes for a nurse appointment; confidential hiring process and confidentiality, NDA and vetting explain the household s side. • Nurses practice: how we appoint nurses to Private Families • Private duty nurse for a private family • Ongoing nursing opportunities in Riyadh register • Nursing jobs in Riyadh: market overview • Senior private duty nursing: case management and international coordination • The family office brief: commissioning a private medical team • Private duty nursing for private families: the brief • Nursing salary benchmarks in the Gulf 2026 • Evaluating a nursing job offer in the Gulf • • Registered Nurse qualification from a Tier-1 UK or European institution , with current registration (NMC, NMBI or an equivalent European regulator). • Minimum eight years experience , including substantive charge nurse, ward manager or matron-level leadership and single-patient case management. • Demonstrated discretion in confidential household environments. • Fluent English. • Availability to start within six weeks of offer. • Complete flexibility around the family s calendar. • The ability to relocate alone and to travel with the family worldwide, often at short notice. • Nurses are always placed in pairs two nurses alternating shifts to protect continuity of care.
