Fork Lift Operator

Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, loading, unloading, lifting, and transportation of marble, granite, stone slabs, blocks, and other materials within the factory and warehouse premises. The role requires careful material handling to prevent damage to expensive stone products while maintaining workplace safety and supporting smooth factory operations. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Material Handling & Transportation • Operate forklifts to load, unload, lift, and transport marble and granite slabs, stone blocks, pallets, and other materials. • Move materials between storage areas, cutting sections, CNC machines, polishing sections, and dispatch areas. • Handle marble slabs and stone products carefully to prevent cracks, breakage, scratches, and other damage. • Ensure materials are positioned and stacked securely in designated storage areas. • Assist with loading and unloading materials from trucks and delivery vehicles. B. Factory & Warehouse Operations • Support the factory team in arranging raw materials, finished products, and work-in-progress materials. • Follow instructions from the Factory Supervisor regarding material movement and production requirements. • Ensure materials are delivered to the correct workstations as per production schedules. • Assist in identifying, segregating, and organizing different types, sizes, and thicknesses of marble and stone materials. • Maintain proper housekeeping in forklift operating and material storage areas. C. Safety & Equipment Maintenance • Operate the forklift in accordance with established safety procedures and company regulations. • Conduct daily pre-operation inspections and report any mechanical defects or safety concerns. • Ensure the forklift is maintained in good working condition and report maintenance requirements promptly. • Follow safe lifting practices and ensure loads are properly secured before transportation. • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with factory safety requirements. • Never exceed the forklift's rated load capacity and ensure the load is stable before moving. D. Documentation & Coordination • Coordinate with warehouse, production, cutting, polishing, and dispatch teams for material movement. • Assist in verifying material quantities during loading and unloading. • Report damaged materials, handling issues, and discrepancies to the immediate supervisor. • Maintain basic records of material movements where required. • Support stock counting and material identification activities as assigned. • High school education or equivalent is preferred. • Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Forklift Operator, preferably in a marble, granite, stone, construction materials, or manufacturing environment. • Valid forklift operating licence or certification as required by applicable UAE regulations. • Experience handling heavy, fragile, and oversized materials is an advantage. • Knowledge of safe loading, unloading, stacking, and material transportation procedures.
