Detailed requirements for firefighting pipe fitters as below. DESIGNATION - Pipe Fitter Firefighting Systems/ sprinkler system. LOCATION - Sharjah REPORTING Divisional Manager. BENEFITS - Accommodation , Annual Air Ticket, Annual Bonus, Food, Medical, Paid Leaves, Visa, Travel Allowance, PURPOSE OF THE ROLE- The Pipe Fitter Firefighting Systems is responsible for the fabrication and installation of GI pipes, HDPE pipes, assembly, testing, and maintenance of piping networks used in fire fighting and fire protection systems. This includes sprinkler systems, hydrant lines, hose reel systems, and fire pump connections, ensuring compliance with approved drawings and fire safety standards. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES- Install, Align, assemble, and support pipes for fire sprinkler, hydrant, and fire fighting systems. Read and interpret fire fighting system drawings, layouts, and isometric plans. Measure, cut, thread, groove on pipes using appropriate tools and equipment. Trouble shooting on pipe/ gasket damages. Sprinkler dropper on appropriate ceiling and their measurement and fabrication necessary pipes. Able to identify the appropriate tools and machinery and their operating ranges. Requirement to identity the necessary materials daily allotted tasks. Install valves, fittings, hangers, supports, and accessories as per specifications. Conduct pressure testing and assist in commissioning of fire fighting systems. Identify and rectify pipe leaks, misalignments, and installation issues. Follow safety procedures and use PPE while working on-site. Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely completion of work. Maintain tools and ensure proper housekeeping at the work site. WORKING CONDITIONS - Site-based work with possible travel to project locations. Work may involve heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions. Flexible working hours based on project requirements. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE - ITI / Trade Certificate in Pipe Fitting, Plumbing, or equivalent preferred. Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter, preferably in fire fighting or fire protection systems. Knowledge of sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reel systems, and fire pump connections. Familiarity with MS, GI, and other piping materials used in fire protection systems. SKILLS & COMPETENCIES - Ability to read technical drawings and follow instructions. Strong understanding of piping tools and installation techniques. Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights. Team-oriented with good communication skills. Preferred Candidate Profile - ITI (Fitter/Plumber/Pipe Fitter) or equivalent technical qualification preferred. 15 years of experience in installation, fabrication, and maintenance of fire fighting piping systems. Hands-on experience with MS, GI, and CPVC pipes, valves, hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, and pumps. Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, layouts, and isometric drawings. Knowledge of fire protection standards and installation practices. Skilled in pipe cutting, threading, grooving, welding support, and fitting activities. Familiarity with tools and equipment used for fire fighting system installation. Understanding of workplace safety practices and use of PPE. Physically fit and willing to work at heights and at project sites. Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills. Candidates with experience in commercial, industrial, or high-rise building projects will be preferred. Relevant certifications in fire safety, scaffolding, or work-at-height will be an added advantage.
