Finance Controller (OneStream Expert)

As Damen continues its finance transformation journey, the OneStream environment is becoming an increasingly important enabler of standardized processes, high-quality data, and efficient decision-making. Your Role As a Finance Controller with deep OneStream expertise , you will be responsible for driving financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, governance, and performance management across the organization. You will act as a trusted business partner to Finance leadership and play a key role in supporting Damen's finance transformation journey. This role combines strong financial controlling capabilities with advanced OneStream knowledge to improve decision-making, reporting quality, data governance, and operational efficiency across the group. The role requires a professional who can engage confidently with senior stakeholders, challenge existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and translate business requirements into scalable financial solutions. The position serves as the bridge between Finance, Business, IT, and external partners, ensuring that financial processes and systems support the strategic objectives of the organization. Based on the current OneStream Consultant role responsibilities and focus on finance transformation, stakeholder management, governance, reporting, forecasting, and consolidation. Key Responsibilities Financial Controlling & Business Partnering • Own and support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes • Ensure accurate and timely management reporting and performance analysis • Partner with business leaders to provide financial insights and support decision-making • Challenge assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and provide recommendations to leadership • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities OneStream Platform Ownership • Act as the subject matter expert for OneStream across the organization • Drive continuous improvement of consolidation, planning, forecasting, and reporting processes • Translate business requirements into effective OneStream solutions • Lead enhancements, automation initiatives, and process optimization projects • Ensure the platform continues to meet evolving business needs Stakeholder Management & Finance Transformation • Act as the primary liaison between Finance, IT, Data & Analytics, and external partners • Lead workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with business stakeholders • Manage stakeholder expectations and drive adoption of new processes and solutions • Support finance transformation initiatives and standardization efforts across the group • Advise management on best practices, governance, and future roadmap opportunities Governance, Controls & Compliance • Maintain strong financial controls and governance standards • Support audits and compliance requirements related to financial systems and reporting • Ensure data quality, reporting accuracy, and consistency across the organization • Review financial processes and recommend improvements to strengthen controls Coaching & Knowledge Sharing • Support and mentor finance users and OneStream Operations Specialists • Develop documentation, training materials, and best-practice guidance • Promote continuous learning and adoption of financial reporting standards and tools Education & Experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field • 8+ years of experience in Finance Controlling, FP&A, Financial Reporting, or Finance Transformation • Strong experience with financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and consolidation • Minimum 4 years of hands-on OneStream experience • Experience working in multinational and multi-stakeholder environments Knowledge & Skills • Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) • Financial Consolidation & Group Reporting • Budgeting & Forecasting • Management Reporting & Performance Management • OneStream Administration & Configuration • Financial Governance & Internal Controls • ERP & Finance Systems Integration • Stakeholder Management & Business Partnering • Process Improvement & Finance Transformation • Excellent communication and presentation skills Personal Competencies • Strong business acumen and commercial mindset • Confident influencing senior stakeholders • Consultative and solution-oriented approach • Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven • Able to translate complex financial topics into clear business recommendations • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)
