Finance Associate

We are looking for an experienced and detail\-oriented **Finance Associate** to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of **5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience in the UAE**, preferably within the **construction or contracting industry**. Key Responsibilities * Manage day\-to\-day accounting and finance activities. * Handle **accounts payable and accounts receivable**, including invoice processing, reconciliations, and follow\-ups. * Prepare and maintain accurate **financial records, reports, and schedules**. * Assist with **monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing**. * Perform bank, supplier, customer, and general ledger reconciliations. * Monitor project\-related costs, expenses, and budgets. * Assist with **project costing, cost control, and variance analysis**. * Support cash\-flow management and forecasting. * Coordinate with project teams, suppliers, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters. * Assist with VAT\-related accounting and ensure compliance with applicable UAE requirements. * Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation and schedules. * Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records. * Assist management with financial analysis and other finance\-related reports as required. Requirements * Bachelor's degree in **Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field**. * Minimum **5 years of relevant UAE experience** in finance/accounting. * **Construction or contracting industry experience is highly preferred.** * Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. * Experience with project costing and cost control will be an advantage. * Good knowledge of **UAE VAT and accounting practices**. * Proficiency in **MS Excel** and accounting/ERP software. * Strong analytical, organizational, and reconciliation skills. * Good communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
