WE ARE HIRING — FF&E SPECIALIST / DESIGNER Location: Qatar | Applicants must currently reside in Qatar SECC is seeking an FF&E Specialist / Designer to support the design development, specification and coordination of furniture, fixtures and equipment for hospitality and interior projects. Working closely with the Senior FF&E Designer and project team, the successful candidate will ensure that FF&E selections meet the design intent, functional requirements, budget and project programme. Key Responsibilities Develop FF&E concepts, furniture layouts, mood boards and presentations in line with the project brief. Select and specify furniture, decorative lighting, fabrics, rugs, artwork and accessories. Prepare and maintain detailed FF&E specifications, schedules and BOQs. Source suitable products, materials and finishes, considering quality, durability, budget and lead times. Review supplier shop drawings, technical submissions and material samples against project requirements. Coordinate furniture dimensions with interior layouts, site conditions and related architectural and MEP requirements. Liaise with clients, consultants, operators and suppliers to address comments and obtain approvals. Coordinate with manufacturers on custom furniture development, prototypes and production details. Support the procurement team by clarifying specifications and reviewing proposed alternatives. Follow up on production quality and participate in factory inspections when required. Support site inspections, installation coordination and snagging to ensure compliance with approved designs. Maintain organized records of specifications, samples, approvals and revisions.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
Relevant experience in FF&E design and specification, preferably within hospitality projects.
Strong knowledge of furniture construction, materials, finishes, fabrics and decorative lighting.
Ability to prepare specifications and review technical drawings and BOQs.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and presentation software.
Strong attention to detail, communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Must currently reside in Qatar.
