Core Responsibilities
• Sanitation & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities strictly comply with food safety standards (such as HACCP, FDA, or local municipality hygiene codes ).
• Commercial Kitchen Maintenance: Direct preventive and reactive maintenance on specialized F&B equipment, including walk-in chillers, industrial ovens, exhaust hoods, and dishwashers .
• Utility Management: Monitor high-demand utility systems critical to food production, including water filtration, grease traps, gas supply, and specialized HVAC for temperature control.
• Vendor & Contract Oversight: Manage third-party vendors for specialized services like pest control, waste management, deep cleaning, and fire suppression systems.
• Staff Supervision: Schedule and lead a team of multi-skilled technicians to minimize equipment downtime during peak operational or production hours.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 3+ years in facility maintenance, with at least 1–2 years specifically within a restaurant, commercial kitchen, or food manufacturing environment .
• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial refrigeration (HVAC/R), plumbing, electrical systems, and food safety protocols.
• Certifications: Must possess or be able to obtain relevant Food Safety / Hygiene certifications (e.g., ServSafe, HACCP coordinator) alongside standard OSHA or safety credentials.
