Job Description F acilities Management Managing Agent Manager JLL | Facilities Management Consultancy | Qatar Location Qatar (on-site) Employment Type Full-time Reporting Line Client Representative, with functional oversight from JLL The Opportunity JLL is looking for an experienced FM Managing Agent Role to oversee the operations of a landmark commercial tower. In this client-facing role, the candidate will be the trusted point of contact for all Facilities Management matters, providing strategic/tactical guidance. The candidate will also lead the transition of the asset and the mobilization of the incoming FM Service Provider, setting the operation up for long-term success. What This Job Involves Act as the primary interface between the client and JLL, providing strategic FM advice and recommendations. Lead and maintain a strategic plan for the delivery of Facilities Management services. Maintain clear, transparent communication and reporting lines, with a strong emphasis on accountability and meeting deadlines. Provide operational oversight of the tower, ensuring facilities remain safe and fully functional at all times. Oversee hard and soft FM services delivered through appointed FM Service Providers, maximizing estate uptime and reducing reactive helpdesk demand. Review, update and implement preventive maintenance programmes and asset management strategies. Handle escalated operational issues swiftly and effectively. Lead the transition/handover of the tower from the fitout to the operation. Lead the mobilisation of the incoming FM Service Provider. Own budget control and financial reporting. Review and validate FM-related invoices, recommending payment against agreed performance metrics. Oversee Service Provider contracts, including quality auditing of FM service delivery. Apply best-practice commercial management to control and reduce operational costs. Oversee the efficiency of the procurement and contract management function. Ensure compliance with all health, safety and regulatory requirements across the facility. Lead, manage and develop the direct reports within the FM Managing Agent team. Review team knowledge, skills and competencies, identifying targeted development opportunities. Prepare and present regular performance reports, KPIs and management dashboards to stakeholders. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Experience: 7+ years of facilities management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial or managing agent role. Technical Knowledge: Strong command of hard and soft FM services, building systems, contract management, budget control and asset management. Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams, service providers and complex FM operations. Certifications: A recognized FM certification (e.g., IFMA FMP, RICS, or equivalent) is preferred. Languages: Fluency in English (written and spoken). Systems & Tools: Proficient in CAFM systems, MS Office, and FM reporting/management software. Stakeholder Management: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and client/stakeholder management skills. Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and implement FM strategies aligned with client objectives.
