**Job Summary**
We are seeking a skilled **Fabrication Assembly Technician** to assemble, fit, and prepare fabricated steel components in accordance with engineering drawings and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in structural steel fabrication, fit\-up, and assembly work within a steel fabrication workshop.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Read and interpret fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and shop drawings.
* Assemble structural steel components such as beams, columns, trusses, staircases, platforms, handrails, and miscellaneous steel.
* Perform accurate fit\-up of fabricated parts before welding.
* Measure, mark, align, and position steel members according to approved drawings.
* Use hand tools, grinders, magnetic drills, cutting machines, and fabrication equipment safely.
* Check dimensions, levels, squareness, and alignment before final assembly.
* Prepare components for welding, painting, or galvanizing.
* Identify and report drawing discrepancies or material shortages to the supervisor.
* Assist welders during fit\-up and assembly operations.
* Ensure fabricated assemblies comply with project specifications and quality standards.
* Perform minor tack welding, if qualified.
* Handle lifting, moving, and positioning of steel components using appropriate lifting equipment.
* Maintain workshop cleanliness and ensure proper storage of tools and materials.
* Follow company HSE policies and safe working procedures at all times.
* Coordinate with Production, QC, and Workshop Supervisors to achieve production targets.
* Perform rework and modifications as instructed by the supervisor.
* Complete assigned work within project schedules and production deadlines.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
**Requirements**
* High School, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
* Minimum **2–5 years** of experience in steel fabrication and assembly.
* Experience in structural steel fabrication, PEB, industrial steel structures, or miscellaneous steel works.
* Ability to read and understand fabrication and assembly drawings.
* Knowledge of steel sections including I\-Beams, H\-Beams, Channels, Angles, RHS, SHS, Pipes, and Plates.
* Familiarity with fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
* Good understanding of fabrication tolerances and assembly procedures.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physically fit to perform manual handling and workshop activities.
* Basic English communication skills are preferred.
* Immediate joiners are preferred.
